Matlingo records what you were taught at training. That is a personal thing to hand an app, so this page says plainly what is kept, where it goes, and how to destroy it.
Your audio recordings are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us, and we cannot listen to them. Your written-up notes, your position map and your review history are stored on your device too.
To turn a recording into written notes, the text of what you said is sent to our server and passed to an AI model that writes it up. The audio itself is never sent. The transcript is used for that request and is not used to train any model.
Speech is turned into text by your phone's own speech recognition, which on some devices is processed by the phone maker. That is the operating system's behaviour, not ours, and it is covered by your phone maker's own privacy terms.
Coach names, gym names and training partner names show up in what you record. Those belong to other people. We treat them as personal data, we do not build profiles from them, and we never share them.
If you gave us an email address on this site, we hold that address and the date you gave it, so we can tell you once when the app opens. It is not sold, not shared, and not added to any other list. Ask us and it is deleted.
The app can export everything you have recorded as a single file, and can delete everything permanently, both from settings, without asking us. You can also delete a single recording while keeping its write-up.
For anything held on our side, mail privacy@matlingo.app and we will remove it.
Matlingo is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this page changes in a way that matters, the app will say so before it takes effect.
